Birmingham 2 - Manchester City 2: Tevez's team is still in the third place

Carlos Tevez was eager to reach the victory against Birmingham, and his determination helped him score the opener in the 4th minute of the game. Most fans thought this would be an easy win, but it wasn't. The final 2-2 draw is not a terrible result, since Manchester City remains in the third spot, but it could have been better.

As we said, Tevez netted the first goal with a powerful right-foot shot after a precise pass of David Silva. But twenty minutes later, Birmingham scored the 1-1 thanks to Nikola Zigic.

Kolarov scored the 2-1 for City in 40'. But even when the second half was dominated by Mancini's team, it was Craig Gardner the one who scored the last goal, for Birmingham. The 2-2 would be the final score.

The Barclays Premier League table shows Manchester City in the third place with 46 points, right after Arsenal (49) and Manchester United (54).

Premier League: Manchester City ready to face important match against Birmingham City

Manchester City visit Birmingham City with the obligation of defeating their rival or be left behind by Manchester United and Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League, and this because Ferguson's side beat Aston Villa and the Gunners defeated Everton on Tuesday.

The game will take place in St Andrews Stadium, and according to the coaches, the starting teams will be as follow:

Birmingham City: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Jiranek, Ridgewell, Bentley, Ferguson, Bowyer, Gardner, Jerome and Zigic.

Manchester City: Hart, Boateng, Richards, Kompany, Kolarov, Milner, De Jong, Barry, Silva, Tevez and Dzeko.

Adam Johnson out for three months due to an ankle injury

Bad news for Mancini. The talented Manchester City's player Adam Johnson suffered an ankle injury during a regular training session and will be out for more than three months.

Mancini made the announcement online after their last game against Notts County, which finished with a 1-1 tie.

Johnson was hurt while playing a practice game on Thursday, and now doctors know that his injury is worse than first anticipated, meaning that the footballer will probably need to go under surgery to repair his ankle ligaments

The coach is considering to buy new players using the transfer window after discovering that Adam Johnson will be out of his team for a while.
