Birmingham 2 - Manchester City 2: Tevez's team is still in the third place

Share |

Carlos Tevez was eager to reach the victory against Birmingham, and his determination helped him score the opener in the 4th minute of the game. Most fans thought this would be an easy win, but it wasn't. The final 2-2 draw is not a terrible result, since Manchester City remains in the third spot, but it could have been better.

As we said, Tevez netted the first goal with a powerful right-foot shot after a precise pass of David Silva. But twenty minutes later, Birmingham scored the 1-1 thanks to Nikola Zigic.

Kolarov scored the 2-1 for City in 40'. But even when the second half was dominated by Mancini's team, it was Craig Gardner the one who scored the last goal, for Birmingham. The 2-2 would be the final score.

The Barclays Premier League table shows Manchester City in the third place with 46 points, right after Arsenal (49) and Manchester United (54).
